"ULTRA SODADE TOUUUUUR see you very soon all over the world, you don’t know how nice this tour is going to be," Kaarl wrote on his social media. "Thank you very much for the love for the new album, don’t stop listening to it, I’m going to need to hear you singing it in person."
About the tour, Kevin also promises new visuals, instruments, and a game-changing production for the Ultra Sodade trek. Marking a chapter of his music, he's making it big. He teases that it's gonna be more than just his usual performances where he sings with the guitar.
"Truly the whole experience will be different because they won’t just listen to my music, but feel it," the artist told Rolling Stone. "We’re creating a visual and musical show that’ll allow you to submerge yourself in Utra Sodade. It will be a lot more than me on guitar."
This April, he's kicking off the tour in the U.S. with shows across international waters running through December. 50+ shows on the list, it's his biggest tour yet. Following waves of acclaim from his "Paris Texas" era down to his new music, including the single "Esta Noche", the man takes everyone on a wild ride of emotions as he navigates the bittersweet last moments of a relationship.
"I feel so alleviated now that the album is out. I left a part of me in that album and after so long, it’s out for everyone," he told Rolling Stone.
Sharing his thoughts on the amazing power of music to connect and heal souls, Kaarl is happy to see how songs he thought wouldn't make the cut become so loved by many of his fans. On Ultra Sodade, he shares that "You feel a sense of nostalgia and a beautiful sadness and you’ll be able to dance."
Kevin Kaarl is an artist by heart. He grew up hoping to replicate the impact that his major influences have shared through music, one of which being the great Chalino Sánchez. The artist included a cover of "Prenda del Alma" on his previous LP "Paris Texas", shining a light on Sanchez's mark in the genre.
Taking a look back to the time he released "Amor Viejo", the world soon discovered his unique artistry. With everyone hooked on his indie-folk sound bits, he quickly gained a massive following as his succeeding single "Vamonos a Marte" reached even more new listeners. With elements of folk, rock, and dream pop, the man serves up magic in every LP. Packed with emotive vibes, his music never fails to hit right home.
