The McAllen Performing Arts Center right here in Southern Texas is excited to have Sesame Street’s Say Hello Tour in town this Spring on April 9th for a one night, once in a lifetime experience for you and the whole family. Elmo always says “Life is like a movie where you can write your very own ending”, so, let’s make sure to write the next chapter together!

Sesame Street is the most iconic and notable children’s educational T.V. program in the world, combining live action and superstar guests, animation, puppetry, and comedy all in a 30 minute day time program. Since its inception back in 1969, the show has attracted kiddos from around the world with its memorable characters and poignant sayings that still hit home even decades later. Conceptualized in ‘66 from the minds of Joan Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett, the show’s goal was always to help kids in an educational and productive way as they were getting ready for school and also looking for small tidbits of advice on how to be a better person in this world. Parents loved the idea and the production, and as of today the show has produced 55 seasons with over 5000 shows across all of the major American TV networks. Their YouTube Channel has over twenty five million subscribers, and they have put out over 180 albums - boasting over two million monthly streams on all music platforms. Sesame Street is a juggernaut of children’s early learning and attracting new viewers, and that’s why seeing the live performance right here in McAllen will be oh so special for us all!
